Welcome to my portfolio !

Hi I’m Matteo.

Let me introduce myself !

With a lifelong fascination for how things work, I am deeply passionate about product design, cars, planes, engineering and electronics.

From a desk to the roar of an engine or the intricacies of circuit boards, I thrive on exploring new modern technology through design.

Research

The brief was centred around solving a gardening problem and how I could envision a product that would align with their company as well as viable.

Through the use of primary and secondary data, trends for moving plants indoors was high on this list. Along with my issues that came with doing so.

The result is research into these problems and which one would align the most with dysons goals and technological expertise.

Concept

How can we create a product that will help deter common indoor pests from plants while maintaining a comfortable and harmonious living space?

Create an enjoyable environment within the home through the use of essential oils to deter pests

Personalise your space with different essential oils depending on your mood and need

Prevent a range of common pests such as aphids through the use of natural pesticide

This concept was one out of four different proposed methods shown to dyson which upon review, decided that this flow was inline with dyson technology and was interested in the concept.

Development

After numerous iterations the product concept was beginning to materialise in the form of sketches, prototypes and proof of concept models.

With the feedback provided by dyson to guide the product in a viable direction.
